영어영문학과는 21세기 국제화 시대에 필요한 우리 사회 각 분야 영어 전문가 양성을 위해, 뛰어난 영어 능력과 국제 경쟁력, 창의적 문제해결 능력 및 열린 자세를 갖춘 인재 교육을 목표로 하고 있다. 이를 위해 인문학의 기본 소양을 바탕으로 영어학, 영미 문학/문화, 영어 교육학, 영한통번역에 대한 심화된 전공 지식을 연마케 하는 교육 과정을 제공하고 있다.

Department of English Language and Literature
The Department of English aims to cultivate in students excellent English proficiency, global talents, problem solving skill, and open minds. The department offers various courses to help students prepare to be specialists in English related areas. Based on rigorous liberal arts studies, students are provided with deep knowledge of English linguistics, English and American literature and culture, English education, English-Korean/Korean-English interpretation and translation.
