This course is designed to provide students with major topics of articulatory and acoustic phonetics. Students will read and discuss a wide variety of texts on the classification of speech sounds, speech production, and speech perception. Students will also get phonetic training on a weekly basis by using Praat, free software for acoustic analysis.

This course deals with the basics of computational linguistics. Students will learn essential Python programming and basic concepts such as N-gram and corpus.
